The purpose of the thesis is to enhance the student's research and methodological skills, to gain experience in research methodology, in writing scientific texts resulting from research activities, and in the scientific and technical depiction of problems.
Additionally, the purpose of the thesis is to familiarize the student with the subject matter it encompasses, to develop critical thinking, to gain experience in designing, selecting, and applying methods and tools, and to conduct studies and evaluate their results.
The curriculum of the Informatics and Telecommunications program of the Department includes the preparation of a thesis, which is not mandatory. It is annual, corresponding to the two mandatory courses Thesis A and Thesis B of the 7th and 8th semesters of studies, respectively, and is equivalent to 10 ECTS (5 ECTS per semester). The Thesis is original, meaning its design and implementation are a personal composition of its author under the guidance of the supervising professor.
In the Regulation of the thesis for the Informatics and Telecommunications curriculum, the procedures for assignment, preparation, and examination - grading are defined.
The study program of Computer Engineering TE of the Department includes the preparation of a thesis, which is mandatory. It corresponds to the Thesis course in the 8th semester of studies and is equivalent to 20 ECTS. The Thesis is original, meaning its design and implementation are a personal composition of its author under the guidance of the supervising professor.
In the Regulation of the thesis for the Computer Engineering TE curriculum, the procedures for assignment, preparation, and examination - grading are defined.
After a successful presentation, students must submit to the administration:
- Two copies in electronic format.
- The documents PERMISSION TO ASSIGN DOCUMENTS - PERMISSION TO USE DOCUMENTS (in pdf format) completed and signed.
